Demister is an industrial gas-liquid separation device,used for remove mist (droplets)
carried in the gas so that it can achieve material recovery and gas purification .
It is mainly composed of three parts: gas-liquid filter screen, support rod and frame.
This equipment is made by weaving metal wires (such as stainless steel and titanium
alloy) into corrugated multi-layer wire mesh .
It can handle droplets with a particle size of ≥3μm, with a separation efficiency of
over 98%.
It features the low pressure drop (generally < 250Pa) and strong corrosion resistance. The products are divided into standard type and non-standard customized type, with
diameters ranging from 300 to 7000mm. The materials and structures can be adjusted according to the working conditions.
Support plate
To ensure the stability and normal operation of the wire mesh pad, the demister is
equipped with a support structure . The support structure can bear the weight of the wire mesh pad and the pressure by
gas flow and ensure that the wire mesh pad won’t deform or damage during
long-term use . We choose metallic material as support in order to meet different
working conditions .
Frame
The frame of the demister serves to protect the internal components and guide the
gas flow . It also It has a certain degree of sealing property to prevent gas leakage .

The principle of the wire mesh demister
It separates liquid droplets or foam in the gas through such as inertial collision,
interception, diffusion and gravitational sedimentation.

Applicable temperature :
The stainless steel wire mesh demister is ≤400℃, and that of carbon steel is ≤
300℃. The applicable gas velocity range :It is 2.5-4.5m/s.
As to size :
Diameter range is generally DN50-10000mm, and the thickness is 20-600mm. All
sizes can be customized according to your requirement.
