Which filter materials can be used to make it?

(2) Metal sintered fiber. Metal sintered fiber is a three-dimensional porous metal filter material formed by laying micrometer-sized metal fibers in an unordered manner similar to non-woven fabric. Its precision range is from absolute 3 microns to 100 microns. Metal sintered fiber has the characteristic of deep filtration and has a higher pollutant-capturing capacity. Another prominent feature of sintered fiber is its extremely high porosity (usually 70% to 80%), which makes it have lower pressure loss and is more suitable for filtering high-viscosity fluids.

(3) Metal sintered mesh. Sintered mesh is a multi-layer wire mesh formed by combining multiple layers of wire mesh through sintering. Usually, sintered mesh are not pleated, but through special wire selection and design, pleated metal sintered mesh can be made. Metal sintered pleated filter elements have the same characteristics as metal wire mesh pleated filter elements, while also achieving higher strength and long-life, and is a better solution in special working conditions or under specific requirements.

What is the structure of it?

The fully equipped metal folded filter element generally has the following structure:

(1) The connector cap. It is a metal part used for connecting and sealing the filter element with the housing. Common forms  include 226 (double sealing rings + locking wings), 222 (double sealing rings), NPT threads, M threads, DOE double opening end, etc.

(2) The inner support core.It provides internal support for the pleated filter material to prevent it from collapsing under pressure. Usually, spiral perforated tubes or straight seam perforated tubes are used. In special designs, wedge wire tubes, circular winding wire tubes, etc. are also used as support tube.

(3) The pleated  mesh  sleeve. The material usually has at least 3 layers: the inner protective layer, the main filter layer, and the outer protective layer. In special designs, there may also dispersion layers or reinforcing The inner and outer protective layers are generally 30 to 80 mesh wire mesh.

(4) The outer protective cage.It provides external protection for the pleated filter material to prevent it from bursting or deforming when subjected to reverse pressure. Usually, large opening rate square or round hole perforated tubes,wire springs or metal bands are used.

(5) The bottom cap. The bottom capis an essential component of the single-opening filter element, serving both the sealing function and the positioning and auxiliary installation functions. The bottom end has flat bottom, hexagonal bottom, with positioning wings, with positioning screws, etc.
