Stainless steel wire mesh corrugated packing, also known as SS wire mesh corrugated packing, is made of several layers of 316L medical grade stainless steel wire mesh sheets folded at professionally designed angles and stacked in a disc shape. According to the specific surface area, it is divided into four mainstream models: 250 m²/m³, 350 m²/m³, 500 m²/m³ (metal wire mesh packing 500 m²/m³) and 700 m²/m³. The corrugation height, corrugation angle and mesh opening density of each model are precisely calculated to take into account the gas-liquid contact efficiency and pressure loss. This series of packing is suitable for demanding chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, environmental protection and fine chemical fields, especially in vacuum distillation, isotope separation and separation of heat-sensitive materials.

Product Features and Benefits

Super wetting and liquid film renewal
Sieve micro capillary structure liquid makes in the integrated circuit register surface in the form of a thin film quickly spread out, the film layer uniformly improved, the flow resistance is small, produced by the mass transfer rate.

High flux, low pressure drop
Rule of folding formed a ring of continuous inclined channel, compared with the board circuit, in the same wind speed, can control the pressure drop between 10-50Pa, greatly reducing the potential of the type.

Excellent
semiconductor diffusion performance: 4-5mm microporous or small infusion holes are installed on the multilayer sheet to strengthen the lateral gas-liquid mixing and destroy the wall effect, so that the total transmission quality of the multilayer sheet is more efficient, with fewer dead zones.

Flexible and high operation:
500 pumps are equipped with liquid distribution system, obesity radius and low liquid flood point. Usually operated with 75% kinetic energy factor F, covering a wide range of working conditions.

Corrosion-resistant and easy to clean
316L material is corrosion-resistant and high temperature resistant; however, the fine mesh requires chemical immersion or development cleaning on a regular basis in order to maintain the restoration of the original performance.

Product application industry

Vacuum distillation and rectification: The 500 m²/m³ model maintains high efficiency at 0.5–7 kPa and is widely used in petrochemical raw materials, refined crude oil and fragrance purification.

Isotope separation: The 700 model is designed for water-heavy water separation and deuterated solvent replenishment, with the highest mass transfer efficiency.

Pharmaceutical and biological fermentation: Low liquid holdup can reduce thermal damage to heat-sensitive raw materials and is often used for multi-stage replenishment and solvent recovery.

Environmentally friendly desulfurization and denitrification: The 250 model has low pressure drop and high inductance characteristics, suitable for high fatigue flue gas awakening and waste liquid reuse.

Fine chemical synthesis: Suitable for solvent extraction, alcohol/ether extraction, organic acid recovery and other processes with high efficiency and corrosion resistance requirements.

Application scenarios

FAQ

If the flux requirement is high and the number of theoretical stages is small, the 250 m²/m³ type is preferred;

If high efficiency and wide load range are sought under vacuum or low pressure operation (≤ 7 kPa), metal wire mesh packing 500 m²/m³ is recommended;

For ultra-high precision separation (such as isotope separation), choose the 700 m²/m³ type.

Conventional online CIP (chemical cleaning) combined with ultrasonic vibration, or acid/alkaline cleaning after disassembly, can completely remove attachments and keep the screen channel unobstructed.

Install an efficient liquid distributor at the inlet to ensure uniform spraying;

For feeds with high solid content, use a filter or pre-classification coarse filter first to avoid solid accumulation.

Small towers (≥ 100 mm) for the 250 model perform well; tower diameters ≥ 200 mm are required for the 500/700 models to reduce wall effects and ensure consistent pressure drop and efficiency.
