It has a three-dimensional reticulated porous structure with high porosity (typically 50%- 80%),large surface area and uniform pore. Stainless steel sintered fiber felts have pore gradients formed by different pore size , So it can meet extremely high filtration precision and larger dirt-holding capacity.

Common metal fiber material include stainless steel (e.g., 316L), nickel-based alloys, titanium, etc.
High-temperaturer : Common stainless steel can be used for at 480°C.But Ferric chromium aluminum materials can withstand temperatures up to 1200°C.

High filtration precision: filter rating from 1μ to 100μ

Usage and Maintenance of Metal Fiber Sintered Filters
1.Precautions for use
Prohibit to use beyond the recommended temperature. Follow the material’s temperature resistance limits (e.g., stainless steel fiber felt shouldn’t exceed ≤ 600 。C) to prevent fiber oxidation or structural damage. Control working pressure: Don’t exceed the rated pressure to prevent material deformation or rupture. Filtration direction: Install according to specified direction ( from coarse surface to fine surface) to ensure filtration efficiency.
Metal Fiber Sintered Filters Maintenance Methods
1.Clean: Choose appropriate cleaning methods based on contaminant/impurities, such as back flushing with water, ultrasonic , or cleaning after soaking with neutral detergent (avoid strong acid or alkali corrosion).
2.Inspection: Regularly check whether its surface damage or blockage. It will be repaired or replaced according to damaging .
3.Storage: Clean and dry before storage ,avoid damp environments to prevent rust.
The service life of metal fiber sintered filters
It has no fixed time which mainly depends on the operating environment, working conditions, and maintenance . Typically, the lifespan ranges from several months to several years.
Operating environment: Its lifespan will be short in complex environments (for example: corrosive ,high temperature,or large amounts of hard particle).
Filtration medium:
The damage or blocking of sintered felt is due to the hardness, concentration and particle size of the impurities.
Maintenance : Regular and effective cleaning (such as back-blowing, chemical cleaning, etc.). Cleaning can timely remove blockages, maintain filtration performance, and extend service life.
For example, if we can keep proper maintenance ,the service life can reach 1 to 3 years.But it will be use in harsh conditions,it may only last 3 to 6 months .
